I have maintained below configurations but system is not able to determine door & staging bay automatically.
1. Storage types, storage sections and bins for door, staging area
2. Staging area/door determination group
3. defined warehouse doors
4. assignment of SA/D det.grp & staging areas to door
5. /SCWM/DOOR_SCU - Assign Door Storage Bin and Supply Chain Unit
6. /SCWM/STADET_IN - Staging Area and Door Determination (Inbound)
7. /SCWM/GMBIN_DET - Maintain Goods Movement Bin Determination
Please suggest what I missed.

Hi All,
We use 2 step Pick for our outbound process but the interim zone we use should have no negative stock allowed and there are multiple bins in it
everything is working fine...except we want that in the step of release withdrawal from wave the stock going to interim area should be allocated to particular identification so that a second wave release will not pick the stock which is withdrawn for first wave
We tried with stock identification for withdrawal process type 2020 but it doesn't work
is there any other possibility to achieve it ?

Hi All
I would like to share with all my experience while configuring inbound process using POSC. My scenario is like this.
1. Unload stock from door and put at staging area.
2. Move stock from staging area to final bin.
For this, I have configured POSC with two steps
1. INB1 - to unload stock with automatic creation of put-away task
2. INB3 - to put-away stock
After unloading the stock from door, system shows that there no packed/unpacked stock for unloading. Because, I have already completed the first step and using POSC system automatically created put-away task. After confirming the put-away task surprisingly, I could see the status of document as PutAway - Not Started and Warehouse Activity - Partially Completed.
When I go back to /scwm/prdi, follow on functions --> warehouse task, I could see same HU ready for unloading. When I see this, I was surprised and clueless. After going through my POSC and Warehouse process type, I feel that everything looks okay but still no clue about this weird behavior. Finally I found that storage type role (where final bin belongs to) was set to "D" - staging area group.
After changing this to standard storage type, I was able to set the document status as complete.

I am doing rearrangement through t code /n/SCWM/REAR.
The value in "Total of Storage Position Evaluations" is appearing as 99999 irrespective of any value maintained in "Evaluate Whse Item" in customizing for storage type, storage section, bin type.
While creating warehouse task, system is determining the destination bin, but the "Evaluation of Optimum Warehouse Position" also appearing as 99999. Task is not getting creating created with below errors.
Could not find a bin in the optimum (Message no. /SCWM/UI_REAR011)
Warehouse order (product STER-02) not created; no improvement possible (Message no. /SCWM/UI_REAR009).
Note: Getting the same error for rearrangement with or without slotting.
Highly appreciate any pointer in the issue.

I need help regarding partially accepted scenario. For example out of 10 Cases/Item XYZ of qty 10, 4 are good and remaining 6 are not good. Business wants to accept only those 4 and return remaining 6. In this scenario, how do we configure the follow up actions? Do we get item/quantity wise updates form ECC? I have maintained quality score 50 against decision and assigned below PTWP action to it. Whenever that decision code was used in ECC, it is properly updating inspection document in EWM. But EWM, is making the 100% qty as Accepted with follow up action PTWP.
In the EWM system, I could not configure more than 1 follow up action for a decision code.

When we deconsolidate the ASN, some of the products getting into correct destination bin and some products are not getting into correct destination bin, getting into one inbound over flow storage type defined. When i looked at product master, strategies and storage types configuration the difference i see between actual storage types and overflow storage type is:
1. HU requirement option. i.e. for actual storage types - HU requirement not allowed and for Overflow storage type - HU requirement allowed but not requirement.
2. For actual storage type ---- Mixed storage selected as "several HUs with different Batches of the same product" for putaway rule: Addition to existing stock/empty bin and for Overflow storage type - Mixed storage without limitations
Can you please help me if anything is wrong with above selection at storage type level?

We have DWM (distributed warehouse),
We create purchase order against which inbound delivery is created. This inbound delivery is replicated from ECC to DWM through IDOCS.
Process is
1. ECC client – inbound delivery is created
2. DWM client – Inb deliv through idoc replicated
3. In DWM goods received done (vl32n), idoc created
4. In ECC idoc should be replicated, idoc is created but with error 51 which further shows error of VL158-DELIVERY DOES NOT ALLOW THE REQUIRED CHANGE
RFC connection is good no problem with that, we are unable to identify why system is throwing this error. Can anyone assist us in resolving the issue.

Hi Experts,
To make a finish product of hose i need to pick different components as per order. In that I need to pick a hose for example : 50 EA. If I see physically in storage type I can get 50 EA, greater than 50 EA and less than 50 EA but for example if 100 EA placed in bin earlier than other pieces.
When the user looks for picking 50EA of hose it is giving him 100 EA hose because of FIFO rule , then user to cut the hose and use only for 50 EA. But, we need to make efficient pick I mean system should have picked 50EA because it is available in bin.
Can you please suggest what is the best pick rule to make the efficient pick ? Using EWM 7.0 version.

Currently while posting the IM movement type 311, storage type(FIFO) search strategy is configured for stock removal process.
Now the requirement is for certain materials, while doing the transaction, we don't want to pick the bin automatically(by using the FIFO), we want to enter the Storage bin manually, please suggest.

Could you please help me with required configurations in EWM to decode barcodes? In the warehouse we have several slips for putaway/picking/packing and warehouse resource will scan the barcode and confirms the task. Whenever he scans the scanner will provide the barcode data to the system but how the system will decode it and fills the form data. Please guide. Also I would like to know the different barcode technologies does it support.

I'm trying to do CIF of material master from ECC to EWM system . I'm getting error - Logical system P31CLNT001 has not been assigned to any business system group.
I have checked the below Settings :
- In ECC , Logical system and assignment .APOCLNT890 is EWM system and T90CLNT090 is ECC system .
-In SCM side , Maintain Business Groups , it is maintained as BSG_EWM ( Business System Group EWM ) and ERPPDC ( Business System Grp for ERP ) BSG_EWM is assigned to APOCLNT890 and T90CLNT090.
I'm not understanding from where P31CLNT001 is fetching and giving error while data transfer . Can anybody help me Please ??

Hi,
How to trigger two or three different smart-forms (which are triggered using different PPF actions) on to the same spool?
Suppose I have two ppf actions
1. triggers X smartform.
2 triggers Y smartform.
one after the other. Now the requirement is get the both into one spool. I know we can do by open-spool and close-spool. But I'm not looking for this solution.
Is there any specific configuraation with PPFs?

If the product is maintained in Warehouse data tab with storage types in order of X, Y and Z and in storage type tab storage types are maintained in order
of Y, X, Z. As per my knowledge if the system considers for putaway with Warehouse data tab, what is the use of storage type tab?
if i am wrong, how does systems works with those tabs and in which cases (Putaway and Replenishment and any others etc..)?
Can you please clarify me on this difference?

I am opening this discussion to try to understand what is really available on SAP EWM with SAP Hana (except the labor demand part which is more clear).
Yes there's some documentation available but at the end I didn't really succeed to make my mind on that.
- Can EWM run entirely on SAP HANA (meaning document creation, modification,.. are only stored and commit within an hana DB) or HANA is just available with the "side by side" approach involving SLT tool, etc...?
- If HANA is activated only with the "side by side" approach. How EWM knows where to query information (classic SQL DB or Hana)? Does the code needs to be changed (either standard or Z) or it queries database in hana by itself when they are replicated to hana?
