POSC+LOSC in Putaway

Hi All

 

I need help to configure below scenario in EWM. Warehouse receives the inbound HUs which can contains single material or multiple materials. For the normal HU, putaway should happen after unloading and for mixed HUs, putaway should happen after sorting. For this, I have configured de-consolidation and POSC. But somehow, it is not working. All kinds of HUs are coming to de-consolidation workcenter after unload. This is my issue one.

 

The other challenge here is the mixed HU will be de-consolidated based on material and moved to interim storage area before final putaway. Again here, they re-pack based on capacity of resource and then do putaway. This I have achieved partly by calling LOSC before putaway task in POSC. So, now I will get tasks to move HUs from de-consolidation area to interim storage area and then to final bin. But I am not able to do re-pack at interim storage area.

 

I have tried to put packing task before putaway task in POSC, and configured interim storage area as work center - LOSC is not triggered.

 

Any thoughts to solve these issues?

automatic determination of Door in TU and further process

Hi

 

I am working with a POSC scenario for inbound process.  unloading+packing+putaway

EWM ID has got  door and  Goods Movement bin  determined automatically through-- door determination setting and bin assignment to the door setting respectively.

Also the staging area details are determined using /SCWM/STADET_IN

 

1. when I assign this ID to a new TU which has been checked-in, why doesn't the system automatically refer to the Door in ID and assign it to the TU? OR  it has to be done manually only?

 

2. Further, If I assign the door manually and dock the TU to the the door determined in ID, can I have my system configured to create the Unloading WTs automatically? 

In my case, it is not happening.  Is it achievable? if yes, how?

When i try  /SCWM/UNLOAD  to do manually Create Unloading WTs(complex), it throws an error that.

"No entry found for process-oriented storage control for <WH no> +  <First ext Step of POSC>"   I could not find any issue with POSC setting.

 

In this situation, if i do a GR in the same screen, GR is completed and unloading task is created.

The unloading WT created has the destination data of the staging area, but the source bin data is blank.

 

3.No able to understand ..why WT is created only after GR  and  why the source bin data(i.e.door bin) is not available unloading WT ?

 

if i confirm this WT, all the further POSC  steps are working perfectly.

N.B. yard mgmt is not active.

 

Need help for the above 3 issues.

Goods Issue reversal TU

Hi All,

 

We assign deliveries to TU and do Goods Issue at TU level. Now the problem is when they want to do Goods Issue reversal for one particular order they were not able to do it . SAP says you have to do reversal for all the deliveries. I could see that only one internal warehouse document created  with process type 2010 for all the deliveries. Document has item number 1 2 3 and so on..When we do goods Issue in delivery screen individually seperate warehouse document is created .

 

Any solution to do goods reverse !

Decoding Barcode in EWM

Hi All

 

Could you please help me with required configurations in EWM to decode barcodes? In the warehouse we have several slips for putaway/picking/packing and warehouse resource will scan the barcode and confirms the task. Whenever he scans the scanner will provide the barcode data to the system but how the system will decode it and fills the form data. Please guide. Also I would like to know the different barcode technologies does it support.

Finding Codes are not listed in input help - EWM Quality Inspection

Hi All

 

I have defined below objects

 

Catalog

Catalog filter

Finding type

Defect codes

 

Also mentioned catalog filter & finding type in inspection rule. However, when I create a finding in inspection document I am not able to see codes in input help. System is throwing error even if I enter manually.

 

Please help where I missed. Should I implement IF_QIE_CATALOG?

While creating production order(for Kit to stock process) release get rejected and it shows error as....

Diagnosis

Order %00000000001 is to be treated a kit-to-stock order. For this purpose, an outbound delivery must be generated in the execution plant STEM and an inbound delivery in the planning plant STEM for the order. For these deliveries to be created, the following data must be maintained for the plants:

  • Shipping point
  • Sales organization
  • Distribution channel (in execution plant only)
  • Division (in execution plant only)
  • Customer (in execution plant only)
  • Vendor (in planning plant only)

System Response

Due to the unmaintained data, the deliveries cannot be created.

Procedure

Maintain the missing data in Customizing for plant STEM.

Upload Warehouse data in Product master in EWM

Please share your expertise to understand how to upload Warehouse data e.g:  max and minimum replenishment qty, Putaway control indicator etc. in Product master in SAP EWM implementation.

Implementing Extended WM

Dear Experts,

I used to implement Material management then Implement WM which is a component in the ERP , But now there is a client wants to implement EWM , What I know that there are only two choices :

1. Install ECC - ERP and install the EWM Addon

2. Install SCM EWM 7.0

 

- So is this mean that I should first implement MM them Implement EWM ? , with another way " Could I Implement EWM without Inventory Transactions in Inventory Management Module  " ?

 

- Please provide me with documents and links to guide me how to implement EWM only with out MM transactions , and If it not possible could I only use " Non SAP ERP System " to be alternative of MM Module ?

Stock transfer to EWM

After PGI we are doing transfer to EWM sys, but somehow stock stuck somewhere betwin systems and I cant find way to make it happens.

 

Ive monitored the inb delivery in VL06

 

the message is: Delivery was distributed therefore display only

2 different PPF actions triggering two different smartforms

Hi,

How to trigger two or three different smart-forms (which are triggered using different PPF actions) on to the same spool?

Suppose I have two ppf actions

1. triggers  X smartform.

2 triggers   Y smartform.

 

one after the other. Now the requirement is get the both into one spool. I know we can do by open-spool and close-spool. But I'm not looking for this solution.

Is there any specific configuraation with PPFs?

Storage type search sequence

Hi Experts,


In my warehouse, i have configured all my settings for normal putaway process

 

 

1.Define Storage Type Search Sequence for Putaway

2.Assigned Storage Types to Storage Type Search Sequence

3.Specify Storage Type Search Sequence for Put-away

4.Optimize Access Strategy for Storage Type Search: Putaway


 

My question is that when i have many different storage type in my warehouse, how the product will pick the storage type for putaway process.

 

I did all the settings but it was not selecting required storage type in my inbound process.

TU creation in EWM using ECC Shipment

Hi All

 

Can someone help me with correct steps to create shipment in ECC which can create TU in EWM using standard IDoc interface?

 

I followed steps as per help.sap, integration between ECC & EWM is fine. I could see the shipment IDoc in EWM but it is getting failed. After debugging I have realized that I should not pack HUs into Container while creating shipment in ECC.

 

But is that correct process?

Quality Inspection in EWM - Partly accepted scenario

Hello Everyone

 

I need help regarding partially accepted scenario. For example out of 10 Cases/Item XYZ of qty 10, 4 are good and remaining 6 are not good. Business wants to accept only those 4 and return remaining 6. In this scenario, how do we configure the follow up actions? Do we get item/quantity wise updates form ECC? I have maintained quality score 50 against decision and assigned below PTWP action to it. Whenever that decision code was used in ECC, it is properly updating inspection document in EWM. But EWM, is making the 100% qty as Accepted with follow up action PTWP.

 

  1. 1.      Do we need results recording in ECC for this scenario?
  2. 2.      Do we need to implement any BADI to select which Case/Item can be accepted/rejected?
  3. 3.      Is HU mandatory for performing QI in EWM?

 

In the EWM system, I could not configure more than 1 follow up action for a decision code.

Error: Deficit of SL stock.in.qual.insp

Hi Experts,

 

  GR posting for inbound delivery posted successfully in EWM and ECC with status COMPLETED. If i see the stock comparison in ERP system:

  There is difference qty appearing in ERP side as quality inspection stock . i.e. for example there is an item in delivery with delivery qty: 12 EA, it is  

  updating WM qty as 12 EA. but ERP stock showing as 11 EA with Deficit of SL stock.in.qual.insp 1 EA.

 

  Some times behaving like, if there is qty 40 EA of item, but it showing as 60 EA - Deficit of SL stock.in.qual.insp for that item in SMQ2 ERP side.

Print Labels based on User ID

Hi

Is it possible to trigger Label Printer to print HU label based on User ID?

We hae a scenario where , need to trogger label print based on user ID in /SCWM/PRHU6 - Create Condition Records for Printing (HUs)

Can we create condition table having user id?

Else is it possble via schedule conditionor any other way ?

Error in VAS work center

HU requirement field in Packaging Specification

I have created a packaging specification without setting HU requirement indicator at both Level 1 and Level 2.  I do not want automatic packing.

 

pack specification is like

product: 4 EA in 1 carton

12 Carton on 1 Europallet..  total 48 EA of product.


In the inbound scenario with POSC, I am repacking the product from a dummy HU  into  putaway HUs.  ( which should be as per Pack Specification)


But while I used to create HUs at workcenter(/n/SCWM/PACK) using the option Repack Product,  after entering source  dummy HU and product no, the system was proposing Europallet automatically  but quantity did not appear automatically.

i it was allowing me to pack 96 EA in 1 europallet. but not more than that.


Ideally system should have restricted me at 48EA only.

 

Any clues for such behavior?

 

 

EWM add on vs EWM Standalone

What are the risks and benefits of EWM as add on and EWM as standalone. ?

 

Can any one please suggest which installation is recommended for EWM..whether should we go for add on or standalone.

HU routing to Staging area based on destination Storage type

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement where I need to route the HUs coming out from same VAS work center to the different staging areas according to the destination storage types.

 

Say for example,

VAS Workcenter - VAS1

HUs completed out of the VAS1 workcenter should be put away into the destination storage types (RS11, RS12, RS13, RS14) through the staging areas (ST11, ST12, ST13, ST14 respectively)

 

Any ideas how to achieve this through customizing to route the HUs through relevant staging areas ( VAS1 -> ST11 -> RS11,  VAS1 -> ST12 -> RS12, etc..,)

    Hi ,

 

 

VAS activity depends on customer.

Product A can give to customer X with applying label and can give to customer Y without applying label.

Presently we maintain  VAS condition record in AFS ERP system and trigger to  WMS system.How can I this MAP in EWM System? How can I do different VAS activity for one product depends on the customer?
