External Location Number

Hi Guys,

I have error for Field Header: Receiving Office: Location No. is a required field for the action HDR: Save Node .

I have done : Go to in SAP Easy Access  in EWM system -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Master Data -> Maintain Supply Chain Unit -> Choose your SCU and press enter. Then click on 'Alternative' tab and sure that row 'RO - Goods Receipt office' exists. The moment RO been insert in SCU. The Inbound could not flow from ECC to EWM.  For the existing Inbound in EWM when activation button been click it hit runtime error. Anyone came across this errors ?

Consumption for production: No warehouse request item existing

Dear experts,

 

for the consumption delivery (outbound, created as copy of OPC) I get an error when I want to create a warehouse task: "There are no unpacked or packed warehouse request items for processing", also no entry exists in table /SCWM/DB_ITEM. I believe this is where SAP reads the data from.

 

Any idea what is missing here?

/scwm/erp_stockcheck best practices

Hi there folks.

 

I am a relative newbie in the SCM / EWM space but have been asked an interesting question by my customer and thought I'd ask here for some feedback.  The WH Operations team currently runs the EWM to ERP stockcheck function on a weekly basis and it is executed manually and in the foreground. We have a large operation but they mostly run for high moving / high demand parts unless an issue arises for another class of materials or a specific material.  

 

They wanted to know...

1)  Could / should the process be automated to run + correct?

2)  If so, how often to run?

 

I know you can set it to run in the background to produce the report and create a daily / weekly / monthly schedule, but wanted to know if any of you out there had tried an actual automation with correction and if so, how it worked for you?   

 

They have quiet time on the weekends (late Saturday & late Sunday) that skirt the std. operation and planned downtime issues, but not sure if anyone else out there has tried this successfully.

 

To me it seems like a risky venture given queue failures, timing, etc. but wanted to get some feedback before starting down the path with them.

Based on the last year's customer connection program where we asked our EWM customers to post ideas for improving system usage. Recommended ideas have been prioritized and evaluated. These first wave of notes have been released and can be immediately used in customer projects.

There are two new notes available regarding OData-Services and recommended configuration settings for the socket agents in the EWM scenario:

 

2120484: Recommended configuration settings for the sockets agents in EWM scenario: This note describes recommended settings of SAP Plant Connectivity as communication layer between programmable logic controllers (SPS) and EWM when using EWM MFS.

 

2070357: Consuming Measurement Service using OData service: This note describes how configured formula-based measurement services can be consumed using OData service. With this service, EWM KPIs can be easily consumed externally. An example for the graphical display of KPIs are so called Andon Boards (e.g. with SAP Lumira or Fiori). The necessary EWM services are available as of EWM 9.2

HU number range issue

Dear all,

I am testing something in sandbox system. suddenly i started getting error message 'The number range interval with number 37000000000000000114 must be external' in smq2 in ecc. i checked number range for my material type in EWM and ECC both are fine and defined above range as internal.

could you help me to fix this issue?

Trasferring organizational structure (strorage location) from ECC to EWM

Hello all,

 

For transferring organizational structure from ECC to EWM, how to transfer storage locations linked to the plant ?

 

Tcode: CFM1 does not have indicator for storage location.

 

Or is it that if plant is transferred, storage locations attached to it will also automatically get transferred?

Organization structure: One storage location each for good receipt and good issue?

Hello all,

 

In EWM organization structure, is it mandatory to have one storage location each for receiving goods (ROD1) and goods issue (AFS1)?

 

Or one storage location can serve both for goods receipt and goods issue?

Creation of HU in an OBD

Hello Friends,

 

I have one OBD with the issue of wrongly selected HU in ERP. So i have deleted the HU in erp in vl02n and then change the status of dec whse to A.

Now again i want to create a new HU so that i should process this DN completely.Can you please assist for the steps to be taken?

Batch creation not possible in EWM

While creating a batch master directly in EWM, Batches are getting created but without classification.

 

I can see a screen like this with a message.

 

Any idea what could be the reason for this?

Pick Denial Process with proposal new Bin

Hi All,

 

Good day, please can you tell for Outbound Pick denial Process if the Product is unable in the bin during picking can system propose a new respective bin for the same product in RFUI.

 

Is this Possible in Standard or we have to work on the enhancement.
