EWM: Automatic posting of Physical inventory document after entering the count

If the difference quantity is below the tolerance limit, system can post PI document automatically after entering the count .To achieve this, it is required to maintain the set up against Reason for physical Inventory.

Configuration

  1. Define Physical Inventory Area: Here we maintain the PI processes along with permitted document types

Hello Experts,

I was working on deconsolidation test case for receiving mixed HU's.In my destination storage type i have activated HU type check.I observed that system could not find a suitable bin every time and gave error for creating task for IB03.I have kept HU requirement "X" in storage type settings.

When receiving mixed HUs, HU type check does not work with POSC settings.Once deactivated i had no issues working on scenario. Can someone explain the business relevance?

Hi Everyone.

I am transferring product(qty = 280, which is equal to 4 pallets) from distribution plant/SL to PSA SL.

I am expecting system should create 4 WT and so 4 WO. But system is creating only 1 WT and so 1 WO.

More detail:

WPT used:4ABC(lets say) Tsf FG Rework to Prod Supply

WPT is having:

WO Rule :HU03

Activity: STCH

Also.

Creation Cat.: Pick Path

Item Filter          HU03

Limit Value Type: WT

Limit                MX01 (Maximum One Item)

Max. Itm per WO 1

Max. CGr per WO 0

Max.CGrp per HU 0

Max. No. of HUs 0

Min. WTs per HU 0

Max. WTs per HU 0

Also, Please find the activity log for WO creation:

Warehouse order creation started

Warehouse order creation is processing:

1 WTs with directly assigned creation rule

0 WTs with search sequence for determining creation rules

Warehouse order creation called up within a process

Creation rule HU03 used for 1 WTs

Item filter HU03 checked

WT 1XXXXX passed the filter

1 WTs passed,     0 WTs did not pass item filter HU03

Inbound WT sorting rule PIPA used

Putaway Kit via warehouse task

Hello EWM experts,

i am trying to create the following scenario.

Generate Kit to stock directly in EWM and move the finished kit to a different putaway bin.

the following works

1> The VAS order is created and the IBD/OBD is generated

2> I pick the components for the Kits wrt to the OBD and confirm the WH task

3> In the workcenter for kitting i consume the component and post the finished kit./

4> I pack the finished kit to a HU

Now i want to move the kit automatically to a final putaway bin. However i am unable to do so.

I tried the following config, have create a POSC for the putaway process step with VSKS (kitting step) and IB03(putaway step) with auto creation of WH task set for VSKS. But this is not helping.

Any idea how this can be achived

Thanks

Hello Experts

I want to automate the process of refreshing the Queues in EWM and ECC which are stuck in SMQ1 , primarily due to lock issues etc and where we have to just execute the Queue to clear it.

Also is there functionality available to get alerts if the stuck Queue exceed some specified limit.

We are using  SAP SCM 7.0 (EWM) and SAP ECC 6.0(ECC).

Thanks

Different sales organisation in one plant

Hi experts,

we have one plant in EWM. One sales org assigend to this plant in ERP, so in delivery note printed in EWM, footline is based on this sales org.

Now another sales org is delivering from this plant (via intercompany business)...so also footline for example should show data from this different sales org.

How to handle this? Maybe I'm blind, but didn't find a solution until now.

Thanks

Michael

Will RF selection by WO respect queue setting?

Dear expert,

I have a question about the RF manual Selection by WO.

e.g.

1. a warehouse order is assigned to queue Q-01-01

2. resource 'ABC' is assigned to resource group 'GRP_01'

3. resource group 'GRP_01' is assign to queue Q-02-02

Can the resource 'ABC' take this warehouse order by RF menu 'Selection by WO'?

Thanks and Kind Regards,

Clark

CIF delta changes in EWM

$

Hi Experts,

Are we supposed to schedule batch jobs using below programs for CIFing delta changes?

1) RIMODDEL - Delete old inactive model if any (Optional)

2) RIMODINI - Initial data transfer

3) RIMODGEN - New model generation

4) RIMODAC2 - New model activation

Or is there alternate method in EWM?

Please advice.

Warehouse task not creating with right quantity

Hi Experts,

Warehouse task not creating with right quantity for some products

For example suppose we have quantity of 240 CS and need to create 6 Warehouse tasks of 40 cs each but in the system only 4 warehouse tasks are created as below

80 cs

80 cs

40 cs

40 cs

So the workaround done is the tasks are cancelled for 80 cs and the tasks are created manually of 40 cs each.

Can you please throw some light on the issue to get what is the exact issue over here.

Physical Inventory Number Range in EWM

$

Hi All,

Currently, in my EWM system, we have Physical Inventory document number range maintained for 2015 year and as we are in 2016, we are unable to create new PI documents. I know that we need to maintain new PI number range for 2016 year. However, I am in a confusion if I need to maintain it manually or there is any standard program to do it?

I checked in google and cannot find any standard program to maintain PI number range based on year. However, I need your expert advise on this.

Thank You,

Ravi

Received materials without warehouse number and now they're inaccessible

Hello Everyone,

One of my colleague recently received some raw materials using MIGO but somehow without entering any warehouse number. So we are now unable to see this materials in any warehouse and also unable to consume them in any way. Also we cannot transfer them to any warehouse or make a cancellation according to the material number. The system says the materials cannot be found. But when I take a report of 101 movements ay MB51, I can see clearly the materials are received but without any indicated warehouse number.

Could you please show me a way to access these materials and somehow transfer them back to the raw materials warehouse? And could you also suggest us what kind of corrective measures should we take for avoiding this kind of undesired situation in the future?

And one more thing; shouldn't SAP block us making such an incorrect receive with some red errors?

Thanks in adnavce for your help,

EWM : Put away Quantity Classification

$

Quantity Classification:

This document illustrates the usage of quantity classification in EWM put away process.

Here one product is maintained with base unit of measurement in ‘EA ( each )’ and alternate unit of measurement in CAR ( carton )

1 CAR =24 EA

Weight of this product as 1 EA = 2 Kg means one CAR= 48 Kgs

In the warehouse one bin capacity is 100 Kgs and able to store 2 CARs per bin. And require getting individual WTs as per the bin (2 full cartons).

Master data in ECC

Material master

T Code : MM01/MM02/MM03

1.png

Alternate units of measurement in additional data

2.png

Purchase order unit to procure from the Vendor ( purchasing view )

3.png

Settings in EWM:

Ware house product master settings

T Code : /SCWM/MAT1

‘ Preferred UoM’   is CAR under the storage view of the warehouse product

4.png

Quantity classification is ‘cartons’ & preferred UoM is ‘CAR’ maintained in storage type data

5.png

Storage type settings

Spro-Img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Master Data-Define Storage Type

Maintained Quantity classification under general control area in storage type

.

6.png

Maintain put away quantity classification as ‘cartons’ under put away control area.

7.png

Maintain ‘split during put away’ and ‘rounding after split ‘indicators in storage type

8.png

Maintain packaging specification for WT creation ( CAR wise )

T Code: /SCWM/PACKSPEC

Use condition technique for WT (standard: 0WHT )

9.png

Maintain product under content with quantity as 1 CAR

10.png

Maintain quantity classification ‘ cartons ‘ under warehouse tab against level ( this level is not relevant for HU in this example )

11.png

In storage type maximum capacity for one bin is 100 Kgs.

If we do the put away without Qty classification, can store 50 products (each product = 2Kg )

But, in this example quantity classification is maintained for the product as 1 CAR = 24 EA ( 48 Kg )

With the quantity classification, it can possible to store 96 Kgs only ( 2 cartons ) and WTs can be distributed carton wise quantity along with bin weight capacity.

Process :

  1. Create PO & inbound delivery in ECC

T Code : ME21N

12.png

For inbound delivery

T Code: VL31N

13.png

14.png

Here IBD is created for 5 cartons, and 3 WTS can be created for three storage bins in EWM.

Check the inbound delivery notification in EWM

15.png

One inbound delivery created through PPF actions

16.png

Create WTs

17.png

Here WTs are created for three bins and put away split applied as per the quantity classification

Note : we can use the Qty classification as a serach  parameter within the storage type search sequence also.
