Fixed "Default" Storage Bin per Storage Location

$
0
0

Hi all,

I have a Storage Location (1234) with only one Storage type (FIX) and one Storage Bin (FLOOR).

What I want is all materials should go (when receiving) to this Storage Bin.

I have configured the Putaway strategy for the Storage Type "F - Fixed bins"

But it's not working. The system is always considers the Next empty bin strategy.

I don't want to make the storage bin fixed per Movement type or per material...The same material can be maintained in different storage locations.

Thank you

Best regards,

Kifah Yacoub

Error while activating Inbound Delivery Notification

Hi,

I have created and Inbound delivery in ERP, the material is batch managed and packed with HU. Once saved on ERP system, I find the Inbound Delivery Notification in SCM EWM system with HU, material and batch number appearing. Up to this point all good.

However, when I am trying to hit the button 'Activate' so that I can create Inbound delivery, system comes up with error message - 'Please specify an external number range' (message NR753) I have no idea where it's coming from.

For further information - I am using standard Doc Type INB with Doc Cat. PDI and it's assigned with an Internal Number Range.

What's missing?

I help will be rewarded.

Thanks,

Amit

Unit of measure issue when PGI done through IDOC

$

Dear Experts

In my system PGI against outbound delivery is being done through inbound idocs in SAP. In my outbound delivery the sales unit is maintained as CS (Case) and BT (Bottle). The quantity in my delivery is 10 CS and 10 CS for both the line items. When IDOC is getting posted in SAP it has quantity as 10 in field LFIMG of segment E1EDL24 of IDOC type DELVRY07 for both the line items. We are not passing any unit in the field VRKME of segment E1EDL24 of the IDOC. The IDOC gets successfully posted but when I check the PGI document the it shows quantity as 0,417 CS and 0,0833 CS.

1 CS = 24 BT for material 10002616

1 CS = 12 BT for material 10002617

Base UoM for both the materials in the delivery is BT. What SAP is doing is converting the CS quantity in terms of base UoM. I have attached the PGI document and outbound delivery screenshot for reference.

After PGI the outbound delivery line item quantity changes as shown in the attachment.

Please let me know how to resolve this conversion issue so that I pass the same quantity as in my outbound delivery in IDOC and PGI should get posted with any change in quantity in my outbound delivery in terms of base UoM.

Thanks and Regards

Bin determination issue

Hi Gurus,

I have an issue in determining destination bin for a product. I added measurement details of bin type and bin along with UOM details of product.

I am not sure is that problem with volume details of bin type and product or bin.It is supposed to go into the bin which i have added in screen shot.

Will that bin allows the products(not HUs) to place in bin if the bin type is maintained for bin?

Can you please help me here to understand how does system calculates for placing by considering all above cases?

Hi,

Im not being able to serialize products in EWM. Following are the settings I've done.

1. I've defined serial numebr profile in ERP and EWM. The one relevant for EWM is populated in 'WM Execution' Tab in ERP and 'Storage' Tab in EWM. (Im using Serialization requirement at Inventory Level)

2. I've checked the SN checkbox for the relevant Item Type.

Now when I create a Inbound delivery in ERP and transfer the same to EWM, serial numbers are being copied to IDN but not to the Inbound Delivery. When I try to create serial numbers manually I'm getting the following error :

Please suggest what am I missing here.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Experts,

Warehouse product master has stagarea/DoorDet.grp (staging area and door determination group)

maintained, but if i see in table: /SAPAPO/MATLWH is not updated. FiDRDETGR (stagarea/DoorDet.grp) is blank.

How this staging area determination group will be updated? Is it maintained manually or any data transfer method or CIFed from ECC?

With this issue staging bay and door determination is not happening automatically.

Can you please tell me what is the issue ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi   I had already finished the installation ERP 6.0 EHP 7 Server and I want to install Add-on EWM 9.1 package on ERP system. To install, I follow up SAP Note 1892669 - Installing or upgrading to SAP EWM 9.1.  When I try to use T-Code : SAINT to install these packages (SCM_BASIS rel. 713 and SCMEWM 9.10), I get this information "The installation of SCMEWM rel. 910 must be configued with a Stack XML".  Could you please advise how to fix this problem?

Capacity check issue

Hi Experts,

I have issue in determining destination bin, For the capacity check as '1' - (Check according to key figure product) in storage type configuration, Can be the Capacity consumption as '0.000' in product master level? Will it cause any problem in determining destination bin?

For capacity check method '1', will that system consider capacity based on weight and volume of the product or only weight of the product.

And, In storage type, putaway rule is: Addition to existing stock/empty bin and HU requirement selected as HUs not allowed and with this configuration, Can i use capacity check as '3' - (Check according to key figures product and HU types)? My doubt here, is When HUs are not allowed in warehouse, capacity rule '3' is valid one or not here in this case?

When the HUs are not allowed in storage type, what is this mixed storage and mixed storage in hu selected as option '2' for both of them in storage type?

Can you please in this issue?

And, in storage bin display - statistics tab - what is that Last clearing date denotes for ?

Thank you in advance.

Exception Handling - Picking

$

0

Hi,

We have implemented the exception handling when the pickers finds "different product stock or no stock" in the source storage bin for the step "05 - RF product WT action on source data", he enters the exception code, which has been mapped to process code (BPRP) to trigger replenishment and follow on action to block the source storage bin for further stock removals.

In this scenario, suppose if we have already open pick WTs for the same source storage bin (WTs created before the bin is blocked) and the system will still allow to confirm the another pick WT, though the bin is already blocked by the exception code.

So, I have added another process code WTCA to the same exception code and also mapped the same exception code for the process type under " Define control for blocking storage bins". But, still the open pick WTs are not cancelled

Do you see if anything is missing and suggest any other way to cancel all the open pick WTs, when the bin is blocked by the exception code..?

Shravan
